Whilst all my folders show up in the bookmarks library, my unsorted bookmarks are missing. Where are they?

They appear using the sidebar feature but not using the library!

Also an irritating feature seems to be if you go to bookmarks from the menu and scroll down through your folders to try to get to the latest bookmark, the folders open on the way down to the little arrow at the bottom and they obscure it, preventing you from getting to the bottom bookmark. This is really irritating. Can it be fixed?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
