I am trying to initially install firefox - when I get to page where I must enter "user name" and "password," I follow prompt and enter Michele-PC\Michele but nothing happens and I can't complete installation by getting to Firefox wizard set up

Is you Windows user account an administrator account? If you don't have proper permission to install software on the system, you need an administrator to enter their username/password
