Hello,

I have Thunderbird version 140.3.1esr (64-bit) , everything looks good with multiple accounts , except there is a big issue on reading emails: 1- when I double click on any email I get the email as edit mode and not like when I press F8. when I press F8 the email looks normal, but when I double click not.

2-Some emails received as HTML format reads the body as HTML attachment. 3-Some emails show part of the email and not all text with HTML format.

Hope the developer know about this issue and someone can help me to solve this issue if work around.

Thank you

It's funny, I have the very same problem in my Thunderbird 143 profile and can't find the culprit. So I created a new profile with TB 140.3.1esr and the problem is solved. This issue can happen if in Account Settings > account name > Copies & Folders > Drafts & Templates you designate your Inbox as the destination folder for Drafts messages. So I would verify this setting in the first place.

If you don't find the culprit you can install the add-on "FolderFlags" https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/folderflags/ which will allow you to edit the flags Thunderbird sets on folders. This add-on works with TB versions up to 142*, so you could give it a try. It adds a "Flags" category in the Folder Properties window (image)

Thank you for your suggestion.

Yes, the problem was with my folders. I thought I could do it like Outlook, but it looks like you have to have one folder for each account to make it work. I had to redo everything to make it work.
