I cannot find Preferences or Options. My Menu bar is showing and the Application Menu hashmarks do not provide any help.
Nothing appears in Tools or the Application Menu as to Options or Preferences. Where is/are they?

Those words are not used in the menus anymore. Look for 'settings' . If there is a specific option and you cannot find it, share that and we'lll try to provide the explicit menu for you.
David - if I paste a doc/photo that I have received as an email attachment and saved to my computer, when I paste it to another email tbird blocks it. I have gone to settings and then Privacy and Sec and the made sure allow remote content is checked. Still happens. Web search says to check Options or Preferences. What am I missing?
