Spell Checker still does not work even with multiple dictionaries and language packs installed and enabled, plus "Check your spelling as you type" ticked

The option to switch languages is also not present in the right click menu (see attached image)
I'm really unsure how to figure this out so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Not all sites allow spellcheck, see if it works on this site by right-clicking the reply textbox.

In about:config you can try and modify Layout.spellcheckDefault from 1 to 2 as that will enable spellchecker for multi-line controls and single-line controls.
The Spell-checker uses Dictionaries only as Language packs are for changing the language of the User Interface like the menus as such as noted on top of https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/language-tools/
