Thunderird hangs and freezes whem loading

I updated my mac to OSX Monterey and suddenly Thunderbird will not work. I have tried everything including going backwards (Time Machine), booting in safe mode, and updating to beta versions (recommended by Redditt) but no results. All i get is the spinning wheel at the start and nothing else. I am using the latest version 19.6.0. I am looking around all the forums and on youtube to find a solution. If I find one, i'll post it.

Wow... just found a "solution" on Reddit. Removing access to Apple Contacts list works.

System Preferences => Security and Privacy ==> Privacy Select Contacts, scroll down to Thunderbird and unlock and uncheck. Start Thunderbird and it works.
