I find the updated version difficult to see. I've used Firefox happily for at least 15 years with no problems and appreciate its existence.

But the icons I see look just like the Bing icons - very finely drawn and small - and I can't control the colors. Also, the PBS pages have white rectangles scattered around, possibly unfinished labels

So how can I safely reinstall Firefox 8.8?

I really encourage that you stay on the latest version to get the best browsing experience.

I am not sure if Firefox 8.8 will work on your computer, but before attempting any changes, please be sure to backup your profile (with Firefox closed when you do it) to make sure your personal data is retained.
