My Macbook Pro battery life is being killed by by the Firefoxcp WebContent CPU utilization. Any thoughts on how to make it better?

Essentially my battery life is under 2 hours. Battery health seems fine but FF seems to be using excess CPU and draining the battery excessively quick.

OK. After some testing. It seems to go off the rails with meet.google.com meetings. With new quarantine life I am on those calls all the time. I prefer FF so hoping some ideas on how to make it better.

Hi Bryan

Have you tried closing other tabs that you have open during these calls?

Another option that you may wish to consider (that I appreciate you may not be able to control) is to try a different meeting service, or possibly make some of your calls audio only.

(I am a volunteer here, but for my "day job" I too am working for home with regular audio calls.)
