I have just installed Thunderbird and the font size of the email list is too small. I have tried going through tools - options - display - formatting, and changing the font and size there but it doesn't change anything. I can't read the list of emails at the moment because the font is too small.

Hi Someone asked a similar question recently. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1271038 Part of that thread refers to removing an add-on which you can ignore in a new install. The rest tells you how to edit the config to increase the default font of the display list. You might also wish to choose an add-on to provide finer control of displayed fonts. I hope that helps you!
