I was downloading mails from Gmail to Thunderbird Pop3. My laptop crashed and on recovery lost about 80% of emails . How can I recover lost mails?

I am using a Windows 10 laptop which recently crashed. I was downloading about 8 years worth of email from Gmail to Thunderbird POP3. I dont have any backup on GMail. When I recovered my laptop I see that I have lost about 80% of emails from Thunderbird. How do I recover this?

right click the folder select properties and then repair. That might recover if the issue is indexing. It will not recover if there is corruption or a bad disk under the file holding the mail.
