Firefox won`t work reliably unless options opened and nothing changed. I have never seen it fail with options opened.

In the window that appear on the bottom, mark "Choose a different restore point"; Click Next > Check "Show more restore points Choose a restore point before the problem occur Your documents will not be affected only the programs installed in this interval. Hope this help!
