With considerable difficulty, I have just removed the Foxstart browser hijacker malware from the computers of two elderly relatives who had picked it up when shopping the web. This forum was helpful but in the end I had to install fresh copies of Firefox. When researching this pest I found the following on Google search page:

Can Mozilla request Google to remove this misleading link which may even be paid-for?

hi, when this third-party software uses firefox logos or trademarks to trick users into downloading malicious stuff, you could also file a report about it at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/legal/fraud-report/.
