Deleted my yahoo account on Thunderbird that was no longer receiving messages. I still was able to retrieve my messages through yahoo. Recreated the account, manual config and now I keep getting the message that the incoming server already exists. Can't create my yahoo account

Tools menu > account settings > outgoing server (SMTP) and remove the orphaned outgoing server.

you can but it should make no difference.

Do you have a yahoo account showing up in Account settings at all? If so rename it

No. One is a live account; the other, an aim account. And this morning, I am not getting any emails in my aim account. I checked aim through my browser and had 12 emails.
