I just got a new pc and I am trying to sync firefox to transfer my data over from my old pc, but there's no progress indicator, no way to tell what syncs when, or anything. I keep checking for bookmarks, passwords, add-ons, etc. but they're either partly there or not there at all, what do I do?

Try to open the about:sync-progress page via the location/address bar.

If it takes very long then you can also check the about:sync-log page.

I checked the sync progress page, it showed me this: Your data is now being encrypted and uploaded in the background. You can close this tab and continue using Firefox. I also checked the sync log, which showed 3 error logs. I uninstalled and then reinstalled Firefox and I seem to have everything transferred over now. Would you know if the sync data stays updated and keeps updating automatically or do I have to manually sync?
