Hi, I have had problems with Deeal.net from Kreapixel Inc. That was (partly) solved by the answers to my previous questions. I used Adwcleaner which mainly solved the problem. But Deeal is still able to sneak through, without visibly installing anything on my computer.

Adwcleaner and other programs like Malwarebytes says that my computer is clean, but Adwcleaner consistently complains about a file: ...\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\npz2migh.default-1405187601415\prefs.js

I have ordered it to be cleaned but Adwcleaner still complains about the same file every time.

Can I remove it?

I have read the instructions for removing preferences in Firefox, but these don't seem to apply to my Swedish version of Mozilla Firefox 30.0. Do you know how I can do it?

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
