Firefox's widgets let you manage task lists, stay focused with a timer, check the weather and more - all from your New Tab page. You can use and customize multiple widgets at once to match your daily routine and particular needs.

Widgets gathering feedback
- Lists
- Timer
- Weather Forecast
As of Firefox version 143, we are experimenting with small segments of Firefox desktop and gradually releasing these widgets in certain markets.
There are certain limitations to be aware of due to the early nature of the features:
- Up to 10 lists can be created.
- Each list may have up to 100 items.
- There is no sync or backup of the lists – we do offer a “Copy to clipboard” for each to provide easy backup and sharing.
- Display and handling of long URLs or shortened URLs may not be supported.
Get started with Firefox widgets
There are three widgets available globally:
- Lists
- Timer
- Weather
You’ll find the Lists and Timer widgets in the center of the New Tab page, between Shortcuts and Recommended Stories (where Stories are available). The Weather widget appears in the top-right corner, in countries where it is available.
There are multiple widgets available, and those enabled by default may vary by region or via rollout. There are newer widgets, such as Sports and Clocks, and a widget for Lists, a Focus Timer, and a Weather Forecast, which is an expanded version of the existing Weather widget.
All widgets have various sizes available, can easily be hidden or re-added (via the Customization Panel), and all data is only ever stored locally - nothing is ever shared with Mozilla.
You’ll find the Widgets in the center of the New Tab page, between Shortcuts and Recommended Stories (where Stories are available). The Weather widget may still appear in the top-right corner, and can be re-sized.
Sports widget
A new Sports widget is now available for tracking events of the World Cup. Upcoming matches, Results once available, Live scores, and the overall schedule are available.
You can optionally follow teams, and can easily see specific information for those teams: Upcoming matches, Results once available, and Live scores - including links to Watch Live in many regions.
Like most widgets, the Sports widget is available in Medium and Large sizes, and can easily be removed, or its order can be adjusted (Move Left/Right). Note that match info may be limited to +/-21 days.
Clock widget
A new Clock widget is also now available which allows customization of up to 4 time zones, and adding a unique Nickname for each - such as for friends and family around the world.
Click the “+” sign to add more time zones, and the pencil icon to edit or add a nickname.
The Clock widget is also available in different sizes, and may be configured between 12-hour and 24-hour time views.
You can use one or all of the widgets together to improve your workflow. For example, combine lists and the timer to focus on specific tasks or check the weather before you plan your day.
