I've been trying to log into my Gmail accounts on Thunderbird on my Windows machine, and each time I get that error message in the title. Google recognizes the account as signed into Thunderbird, and I had to go into the Google Account and sign out from an instance of each of my attempts. I made sure cookies are allowed, and using oauth2.
Not sure what to do here? Is anyone having the same issue?
Update: I just downloaded spark and logged in no problem. Also, the Thunderbird on my mac is logged in just fine.

TB has been extremely finicky the past few days with send and receive. The biggest issue is that the Get Messages / Get All New Messages stops responding altogether - it works fine, and then suddenly nothing except (sometimes) the word "null" next to the online icon at the bottom left, and a pulsating blue progress bar in the Activity Manager area, that disappears after a moment.
A few times I have been able to "fix" it by going to Server Settings and changing Connection Security to None temporarily, but this doesn't work every time.
Another "solution" is to change the password on the mail server, which prompts TB to demand the PW. This is not a good solution, as the password must then be changed on any/every other device that connects to the mail server, and then the problem repeats after some period.
Other times, and per a suggestion on another thread with a similar subject line, clicking on the "go offline" icon at the bottom, generates a prompt to download emails before going offline, and this seems to cause a demand for password, which allows emails to be downloaded, but this also seems like a band-aid. Hi, I'm looking for some old emails from 2018-19 for an important project and I can find them in search but when I click on each email I just get a blank page. I can see they exist somewhere, as they are indexed, and I can read the first few lines, date and address etc, but not open them fully. I found this earlier which mentions sqlite? Just got a new PC. Was intending to use Outlook... but, after a lot of hassle, that would not work, despite having copied all the settings from my old PC to the new one. So, after about four hours or more, and still nowhere, thought I would try Thunderbird. Installed it, and input my name, email address, and a password, and it would not work. Never managed to connect to the server. So, have literally wasted a whole day, and the new PC still will not do emails! Very baffled!

Hello, I've been having an issue with gmail in my unified inbox where anything that I do with emails doesn't update unless I click on another folder and back to my inbox. Like if I delete an email, it looks like the last one on the list disappears until I click another folder and back, then the one I deleted will be gone and the other one still there. It also happens if I move an email to another folder. I have two other hotmail accounts that still work like they should, just email.

The problem on Thunderbird 102.7.1 on linux Mint is as follows. 3 accounts with account folders are ok but in local folders there is a folder called 'Shopping' >15 In this folder after many folders there has appeared Shopping>15 entering this is , afer many folders duplicates of those in the original folder there is Shopping>14 Simply selecting and deleting the Shopping>14 causes Thunderbird to freeze for a long time, gave up at 5 mins. The profile is 13.1Gb but before the multiple Shopping incident it was 7Gb. Can anyone outline a path to recovery?

Thunderbird (currently 102.10.0) became extremely slow at reading emails when I went from 91.13.1 to 102, I'm not sure of the full version but I believe it was 102.3.0 . TB no longer correctly reports whether or not I have emails waiting when I first log in. The size of the emails doesn't appear to be relevant. It may be as little as just a couple of lines of type or it may include attachments. The length of time to download is about the same at anywhere from 20 seconds to 1+ minutes. When I track it on the task manager, of the 4 images of TB there are always 2 images of TB seemingly active at the same time when I Get Message. One image is very large while the other is much smaller relatively. All of this with both the Scam Detection and Antivirus turned off. After reading a number of the entries on the forum, I performed some of the steps suggested. Here is a synopsis of what I did and what I saw.
Put TB in SAFE mode. Sent a message. Did Get Message(GM). Task manager showed only one large TB image active, not the usual two mentioned above. Download was the usual long time. Sent a second message and had the same results. Turned off SAFE mode. Did another Send and Get 2 more times. Task manager showed the two images active. Response times were slow. Turned on SAFE mode again and repeated as above. Results were the same - one active image and slow response.
Started Windows 7 Pro in SAFE mode with internet. Started task manager and TB in normal mode. Sent a message. Did Get Message and the mail was downloaded immediately. Sent a second message and had the same result.
Started Windows in normal mode. Turned off email antivirus and smart firewall features in Norton 360. Repeated test scenario as above. The results were the same as I stated in the begining of this submission.
If there is anything else I can add that would help me to get Thunderbird back to normal, please let me know.

I have version 102.11.0 on my Mac Catalina. Recently I noticed problems on this Thunderbird. Last month I sent eFaxes that did not go through. My telephone service is looking into that since they provide the email address I am to use for faxing. However, I sent an email with attachment to my GMAIL address, which is not synced with Thunderbird, so that I could bring the file from that inbox into Google Drive. The attachment is a text document I am working on with Google apps. Though the email arrived, in Thunderbird I did not receive a cc: copy, as I usually make with all my email messages. Strange that this should happen after many months of reliability.

I have two gmail accounts, both working perfectly for years. Lets call them A1 and A2. last week A1 all of a sudden stopped working. Google asked me password and second pass verification. But when trying to connect to google again a message "authentication error" arrived.
I then disinstalled TB and downloaded it anew. A2 started working immediately, but when trying to redefine A1 the above message "Unable to login..." appeared. I then tried to define A1 on the TB of the laptop of my girlfriend. There it started working without any problems. Both PC's have the same TB version and are working under Windows 10 with the same version. Seems to me very strange.
Any ideas?

While attempting to access a file folder with 977 email messages the file completely disappeared. Rebooted TB but it did not return. Using MS ver. 7 pro. Deleted over 5K emails from various file folders. This has happened several times before but two files returned and two files cannot be found. Copying a formatted message from T-bird to gmail is a big extra step. This is now a weeks worth of hassle. I've read every help article and most are fore MUCH earlier versions. I am fully updated on T-bird, Mozilla and using Windows 10. Two other gmail accounts are working fine on T-bird.

Hello. Recently we switched our company's internal server from yandex.ru to mail.ru. Since then we have some issues with synchronization between computers. I am working with Thunderbird from my PC and laptop simultaneously. So there are the issues that accured: 1) I can't see Tags anymore at different devices. For example, if I tag a message at PC (with color and category) - it does not show up on laptop. 2) I can't see "Forward" sign when I forward messages from PC/laptop on other device. 3) Some of menu buttons such as "Drafts", "Sent" and others didn't translate in English (it stated in Russian as it was before) meanwhile "Inbox" and "Archives" are translated. Will appreciate any help and how to fix that.

I will be trying to be nice in putting this question, and doing my best to explain.
I use thunderbird lightning calendar as my daily navigator. I connect by the 'CalDAV' protocol
to my email/calendar provider. The connection link looks somewhat like this:

The idea was to sync my appointments to my mail host servers and have a safe backup like this. Now, the issue that comes in, is about time. For every new event I create the time changes unexpectedly on the day of the event by 2 hours difference. When I add a 'Reminder' it is even worse. It will change the time by 2 hours later instantly. I need to open the event again change it to 2 hours early (15.00 becomes 13.00) and then lightning will set the correct time (15.00) But....at the day the event takes place, again lightning will set the wrong time for the same event. Very unhandy.
I started to check the system time of the o.s., which is correct now. I checked the bios time, which is correct. I checked 'timezone' under settings (calendar) . It says Europe which is correct. (By the way the provider servers are also in europe, it should be correct)
Now, I cannot figure out what causes the issue. Maybe very far fetched, I hard copied the thunderbird profile I use from a windows thunderbird application to a linux thunderbird profile. Never had problems with that procedure. Could there be a reason for this lightning time issue hidden in there? Later I started using caldav to sync my messages to my provider servers' .
I opened a ticket for my email provider explaining this problem, but they claim they have no answer for it. They state that for other mail applications like outlook calendar work good and the problem doesn't occur. Which is the point where I created this ticket and ask politely for your support.

I am using a 64 bit win 11 laptop . . The window that pops up when i click on the icon with the red dot says I have 8 unread messages, when I only have 3 . . .the red dot goes away sometimes, but then when i re open thunderbird I hear a ding, and the red dot shows up again . . .
