How can I stop bookmarks made in private setting from showing up on my recent bookmarks tab?

I go into private browse mode so none of the sites that I visit show up in history. However, when in this mode, and I choose to bookmark a page, that page shows up as a recently bookmarked page. This can be viewed by anyone signing on. Not conducive to surprising my wife with a cruise.....

There's no separation of bookmarks in regular and private browsing mode, as explained in the following article.

If you want to keep bookmarks separate,

Otherwise, I see nothing else that could be done, short of moving the Recently Bookmarked folder into another folder so that it's not immediately visible, or just deleting it altogether.

I don't think that it is a good idea to bookmark such a page as there are always other means to sort the bookmarks.
