I CANNOT FIND MY BOOKMARKS. FIREFOX AUTOMATICALLY UPDATED AND CANNOT FIND THE RIGHT ANSWER TO RETRIEVE THEM. HOW IS CREATING A NEW PROFILE GOING TO RESTORE THEM
I open profile manager and see bookmarks but how can it restore them in my browser? Firefox doesnt clearly explain but just moves you to different articles with no end.

Is anything else missing -- settings? add-ons?
We should check whether you actually have more than one Firefox profile on your system. If you open Help > Troubleshooting Information, and click the Show Folder button, a Finder window should open in your active profile folder. If you navigate up a level, do you see multiple folders?
A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
