How do I get back to version 3?
I upgrade to Firefox 4 & have nothing but problems (it won't let me log in to online banking, it won't let me go back a page, it opens with a blank bookmarks toolbar (in order to see it, I have to uncheck "view bookmarks toolbar", then go back and check it. Also, when I close it & reopen Firefox, it often tells me there's still an instance running. How do I reinstall Firefox 3 without losing any more of my settings? (Windows 7 Home, core2duo processor)

Sorry to hear you're having a problem.
- Go to Download Firefox v3.6.16 and download it to the desktop.
- Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Mozilla Firefox and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
- Then reboot and delete the folder called Mozilla Firefox at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- Finally run the installation file you downloaded.
Thanks for the help. It got me back to Firefox 3 and I can now log in to my online banking. However, the browser seems to have inherited several problems from Version 4. 1. When I click on a hyperlink (such as the one in the email notifying me of your answer) when the browser is NOT open, it opens with a blank page whose tab reads '(Untitled)". If I click on the link a second time, it opens a new tab and completes the link. 2. I still lack the ability to navigate to a previous page - the arrows (and the menu items) are grayed out. Alt-left arrow doesn't work either.
Try creating a new Profile, instructions here: Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles
When you reinstalled 3.6.16, the installation retained your customizations, bookmarks etc. I can see in your system specs that you have a few customizations which may be interfering with your setup as it is now. Creating a new Profile is a way of testing whether that's the case or not.
If it works, then you can move your info to the new profile (instructions in the same article).
