I believe this is because Plusnet are transferring me to Greenby, and I am now required to sign in using my full email address, i.e. ***@madasafish.com. I can't figure out how to change this, it will only let me change my password. Please can anyone help -urgently!

The 'Username' must = full email address.

So you need to check the following: In Thunderbird In 'Account Settings'

  • In Left Pane -Select the name of the madasafish account
  • On the right - look for 'Email Address': enter full email address
  • near the bottom on the right click on 'Edit SMTP_Server' button
  • small window opens
  • Edit 'User name' = full email address
  • click on 'OK'
  • In Left pane - Select 'Server Settings' for the account
  • On the right side: Edit 'User name' = full email address

Then Exit Thunderbird and wait a few moments for background processes to complete. Start Thunderbird.
