Sync and save not working on Android in 2025

I have tried using the account menu to find "sync and save" in response to the prompt for the QR code on my desktop. There is an option that says sync but when I click it it does not open up a QR code reader.

Hi

Do you see your username or email address in the Firefox for Android menu? If so, select this to see the Firefox Sync settings.

Yes and I can get to the menu where it gives me the option to "sync now" but when I click on it it does not open a QR scanner to scan code that's on my desktop computer
