Using old Firefox app from Time Machine

Hi I have lost all my passwords and bookmarks.

Going into Time Machine, I wenk back a week, highlighted the Firefox app, and hit the restore button.

So far, so good.

When I tried to open it, a message was displayed: Using an older version of Firefox can corrupt bookmarks etc already saved to an existing Firefox profile. Create a new profile.

I tried to create a new profile without success. The page displayed did not explain how to do this.

Thank you for your quick response.

I exported the bookmarks from Safari successfully. Obviously, some bookmarks were specific to Firefox, but better than nothing.
