Updating Thunderbird Portable from ESR to Release

I use Thunderbird Portable from PortableApps.com. I'm on 140.1.1esr (64-bit). I got your email about switching to Release version. I was almost there when I discovered the update file was an exe and it probably doesn't understand Portable. How can I safely switch Portable to the Release version?

just go back there: https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/thunderbird_portable You will need to copy the profile from the ESR portable to the release portabne with neither version running at the time.
