Hello, Since the update on 24 June 2025, bookmarks are displayed in black text on a black background. Is this normal? If not, how can I resolve the issue? I had set it to dark mode, but even when I switched back to light mode, nothing changed. I would appreciate help from the community or Mozilla if anyone has a website address to contact them. Have a nice day.

Me too! I posted at the same time.

Firefox 140 has a bug for certain add-on themes, as you can see. The workaround for the moment is to change to the built-in Dark theme on the Add-ons page. See: Use themes to change the look of Firefox.

Does that work for your sidebar?

Thank you for your reply jscher2000, but unfortunately, even changing the theme did not change anything.

How can we contact Mozilla to report this issue, because I can see that I'm not the only one experiencing it?

Mozilla is aware of this bug. Users with certain dark themes may experience issues with text contrast in the sidebar. A workaround is to use the built-in dark theme or the system theme.

This is tracked under bug 1971487 and a fix will follow in a later release.

Thank you for your reply. I hope their fix arrives soon. I have dark mode enabled on both Firefox and in my system settings, and removing and re-enabling them did not change anything. Have a nice day.

Hi Looping,

Just want to note that 140.0.1 is out now. Please update your Firefox and let us know how it goes!
