I have used something called FFUpdater which will allow you to install Firefox. You will need to enable developer options on your fire TV or fire stick and use downloader by AFTV News (Availible on amazon app store) Then you can download either f-droid at https://f-droid.org/ or from github at https://github.com/Tobi823/ffupdater

I think he/she missed identify the os base of the fire stick
