Old support.mozilla.org account inaccessible

When I logged in, I was forced to use Firefox account instead of existing Support.mozilla.org one.

Despite the FAQ page, there were no "prompts" to join the older account to Firefox one. How that can be done?

Hello konstantin2,

You now only need one account for all Mozilla Services :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/access-mozilla-services-firefox-account

and :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-accounts-mozilla-support-faq

So, you no longer need to signin to support.mozilla.org, just your Firefox account.

That also means whatever I posted/asked under old account is lost, isn't it?

No, it doesn't - you're merely signing in to Firefox account instead of support.mozilla.org ....

When you click on your username/display name at the top of this page and then on "View Profile" you will see that another question you posted is :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1265438

(but that was just a few hours ago, so you probably were already using your current Firefox account)

Could it be that you closed your old support.mozilla.org acount and opened a new account (Firefox account), using a different email address ?

See what it says in the second link I gave you :

"If you use the same email address for both accounts, we will automatically link your Mozilla Support account with your Firefox Account. "

I used different email address for old Support account.

I didn't close that Support account.

And I see no obvious means to link these two.

The Firefox account replaces the old support.mozilla.org account; they are not two separate accounts. You can no longer signin to your old support.mozilla.org account. If, like you said, you're now using a different email address, then those two accounts aren't merged.

If that's a problem for you, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

It's a problem, since I'd prefer to have access to whatever I posted/asked under old account.

Can the old account be found and merged with this one?

I will forward this to a Mozilla employee via email.

One more question though : did you also change your username/display name, or has it always been "konstantin2" ?

I didn't change anything - today's first time I logged in under Firefox account.

Thanks.

Thank you for the additional information - I sent an email to a Mozilla employee (may take a while before you hear from them,
so please hang in there).

Hi konstantin2,

I'm Kiki, SUMO community manager. What I can think of now based on your case is: maybe you can add your email that you use for your SUMO account as a secondary email on Firefox Account. Once you connect it with Firefox Account, you can try to set it as default account and then from there, you can connect your old SUMO account to your Firefox Account.

That's a hacky way I can think of for now. Let me know if it works.
