Make keyword bookmarks "snap"

In Chrome, I can add search engines. Not just the top ones you are probably thinking of (Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, etc.), but a dozen internal ones at my employer.

In Firefox the most equivalent thing I can do is set up "keywords" as described here: http://johnbokma.com/firefox/keymarks-explained.html

Keywords are great, but they could be made even better if after typing the keyword plus space, the address bar "snapped" to show me that the intent is to query a search engine like Chrome does with "search engines."

Is there any way to get this kind of UI enhancement in Firefox? If not, perhaps someone could help me post this as a feature request?
