after pressing "refresh firefox" all my bookmarks and history disappeared. how do I get them back?

when I press "history" only the sites I have visited today appear. None of my previous bookmarks show when I press "bookmarks" I had many many sites bookmarked but they are all gone.

Why did you refresh the browser? Any problems?

Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.
