I can only receive one email at a time now. How can I get all emails at once rather than one at a time?

2 email accounts on Thunderbird work as normal and download and receive all new emails however 1 account now only receives one email at a time and doing this one by one for 100 emails is not going to happen but I have no idea what has changed and why only one account is doing this.
