I think the STOP message is a warning from Firefox not to execute code from strangers in the web console.

The WP IT had me put up a screenshot of the Error tab in the console,

I believe I posted that error.

He had me enter localStorage.clear() at the bottome of the page and press enter. I got a return message saying that the source was undefined.

however, and maybe this is not an immediate take. I refreshed the page and in the warnings tab on the console (I seem to have a short memory after all this) there was a message saying the page won't render because there was a tracking protection enabled, even though when I go to the address bar, I had done this the other day, but today, for some odd reason, there was a dialogue that admitted Firefox was blocking elements of the page and today, this time, it gave me the option to allow these elements to display, in effect, I will hope, whitelist it over all. I check regularly to see that it has been whitelisted, but I want to assume that now that I have done this, it won't block these elements anymore.

On the other hand, I did take a Windows update this morning. That may or may not have had some effect. Though I tend to doubt it; Windows has been updating on Thurs lately, except at the first of the month when it updates on Tues.

'Background Tabs

Firefox 29 started the trend of just having a thin line between background tabs rather than being individually shaped. Do you want to try a custom style rule to add shape to them?

Yes! I liked the rounded corners better than the square ones. Sounds silly but I do, it gives the browser character. Honestly, and even though I hate Chrome, and I can't be sure it still looks the same because I never use it, I liked the Firefox browser was more pleasing to the eye when it took on that type of look.

And while I'm at it, I have to add--the so-called "themes," being nor more than "letterheads," to me are pointless and show a lack of imagination. However, I do realize people like these things. I prefer simple, basic, light font on dark themes, for obvious reasons.

You have no idea how Sylish saved my eyesight and sanity. My Gooble is black & white, so is Wiki. Youtube, when they recently changed their layout--offered a 'dark' theme. So, someone out there is paying attention.

Honestly, I like the default theme, except for the square tabs (which is being a little pissy) but contrast isn't enough for my eyesight and I think it may be because the default colors on my machine are black & white, and so I may not be seeing the same definition that you are.

I applied the rule to the icons on the address bar search, However, there was something about the address bar search that was irritating me the other day and I changed it back to the having a separate search. That said, I have already performed that same hack when Mozilla started using icons way back, however, and the hack is still visible in About:Config, and yet it does not apply. I would like that back to text in the drop-down menu, as I'm sure many people will.

The icons simply aren't that recognizable unless I am using them regularly and am more familiar with that site, like say--Amazon, or Google. But I do like my list of alternates, I simply don't use them as often and so what I have is a whole lot of icons of which I do not really know what they are. I would like the drop-down text menu. Please. If at all possible.

I took a look at your CSS page. I wish I could write code and apply CSS but I never learned, I only learned enough from themeing Myspace pages to do simple hacks. I learned a lot about html from themeing my Myspace page, but they were relatively simple hacks. I just stared at the code until l began to see patterns.

Of course now, there are free text editors of which you can use to code your text all over the web, WP's being one of them.

I would like to learn/know a little more about how I can apply what you are doing, have done, to my Firefox browser. I admit, some of the changes I am not crazy about. I like the idea of transposing the elements of the menu bar to the side bar, but I still feel you should at the page style element to it, that is to say if Mozilla wants to be completest, we do use that feature and I can't say that it wouldn't be nice to be able to do away with the old Menu bar altogether. Then again, it's hard to say which is more assessable.

I understand the idea of the overflow, however, if there is no need for it, why show it. It doesn't show in the tabs if they aren't overflowing. I should have the option to remove it, or it should remove itself automatically like the one in the tabs.

These are small griefs, but they make a big difference, at least for me.

At any rate, thank you for your help & patience. I would like to learn more about customizing the browser to fit my individual needs, if possible.

Is this an entirely new browser, that is to say--a stand alone version of Firefox, or does it overwrite Firefox Quantum altogether.
