Noticed a couple of weeks ago that e-mails from me are showing up with the wife's e-mail. I make sure they are from mine when sending.
I have 4 addresses in Thunderbird and all have work fine for years. But recently started noticing answers were coming to the wife's e-mail instead of mine. Started copying myself on all sends, and sure enough, it shows her address as if it came from her. I make sure It is sent from mine. I've checked everything I know how to check.

are you using an alias in say outlook.com?
not that I know of , both mine and her's are gmail addresses, plus another gmail that has no problem.
Right click one of your accounts in the folder pane and select settings Scroll right to the bottom of the accounts settings and open "Outgoing server (SMTP)"
Check you have two SMTP server entries, one for you and one for your wife's accounts. Make sure they have a name that makes which account they belong to obvious.
Now scroll back up the account listing to the accounts name in the list (above server settings for each account) check the SMTP server specified in the drop down list for the account is the correct one.
I think what is happening is your account is set to use your wife's SMTP server entry. When the mail gets to Google, they strip your information and replace it with the information for the account that is actually signed it. Your wife's. Hence the observed change.
