Facebook defaulting to German. Has always been English

1. I regularly clear the history/cache, I have reset preferences (language) numerous times and Facebook continues to use German is games and in the site postings and responses. I cleaned the MAC today and it did not note anything unusual.

2. The other issue is that Firefox crashes daily.

Try to clear the Facebook cookies.

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache":

  • Firefox -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Firefox -> Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that start with "bp-".

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" page (about:support).

  • click the "All Crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.

Alternatively you can open about:crashes via the location/address bar.

Good evening.

I went through the steps as noted, but have not restarted the system. When looking in the cookies, most I do not have any idea what they are really for, so did not remove any, for fear of removing something incorrectly.

You requested a crash i.d. When the box comes up, I do not put anything in it, but will in the future. This is the most recent from earlier today: bp-ff4bc2db-04d2-4469-acd4-7ab182160712
