Hi,

I want to know if it's possible for me to deny Firefox access to my system time, if at all possible, or change the time on Firefox itself rather than my actual computer's clock?

Thank you.

You could use a VM (e.g., VirtualBox) to isolate Firefox in an OS you can manipulate independently of your real OS. That's a sledgehammer.

I found an extension that lets you spoof your time zone, among other things, which would allow you to seem to be somewhere else on the globe without appearing to be completely ignorant of how clocks work: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/random-agent-spoofer/

I haven't tried it myself.

No. That is a basic function in Firefox, to use system time

What reasons do you have with the time that you want this?

I prefer that websites do not track my system time and I'd rather deliver a false system time. I understand that it can interfere with SSL certificates and whatnot, just curious how I would go about it.

The problem is that I am a frequent flyer and timezones annoy me with Wi-Fi and websites so it's easier if I just turned it off all together.

This was just the response I was looking for.

Thanks everyone!
