make vlc plugin default player for youtube videos
hi is it possible to do so ? i still having high load and memory usage from youtube only videos, i would like to vlc be the default media player in youtube thanks in advance

That is not possible. You can only use the video player that YouTube offers and that can be a Flash based player or an HTML5 media player, but not a plugin like VLC.
You can use an extension to switch between the Flash player and the HTML5 media player on the YouTube website.

i know about it, i dont want the external player through popup but vlc plugin to replace the flash media player thanks

did a refresh from troubleshooting setting page, installed https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/youtube-flash-video-player/ seems ok now, thanks a lot
