Firefox did an update to 'seamlessly work with Win 10'. When Firefox restarted, ALL MY BOOKMARKS WERE GONE. I went to the library and tried to restore bookmarks. It won't do it! I have a entire computer backup system, but have NO CLUE where to find my bookmarks. So frustrated. I've used Firefox for a ton of years and never had my bookmarks disappear.

Hi, first try restarting Firefox - 3-bar menu > Exit Firefox in bottom right corner.

If that doesn't help, please see -

Well...after googling some more, I discovered that there was a 40.0.02 update. I did that & now my bookmarks are back.

Note that such issues can be caused by a problem with a corrupted places.sqlite file.

If it happens again then you can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
