why wont this stupid program allow me to install flash player

I have downloaded adobe Flashplayer but when I try to unstall it I get the message that it will install when Firefox is closed. I know that Firefox is closed but still Flashplayer will not install. Am thinking of getting rid of Mozille and installing Google Chrome

Try installing from the Flash player using this link Adobe Flash Player For Mozilla Firefox

Sometimes, Firefox does not close completely.

Start the computers Task Manager. At the top, select Possessors. If Firefox is listed here, give it a few minutes, then right click it, and select End Task.

You can also reboot the computer and try again.
