Despite "no pop up" turned on I still get "deal finder" and "brought by web to save" pop ups...even clicking them off they come back.

hello BurtVD, you have various malicious addons present on your system. please perform all these steps:

  1. run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.
  2. refresh firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  3. afterwards go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.

Many thanks for the help...and it did! I am mostly afraid to down load free programs that mess with my machine. I did it and now happy with results. Burt
