wrong email address is being filled in for "to" address
We have two users in the office who suddenly, when they are typing addresses in the "to" line, they pick their recipient from the suggested addresses based on what they typed, and a completely different address/person is filled in. I've seen it, I've taken over and done it. We aren't accidentally clicking the wrong address.
For example, they type "David" and all the david's come up and they click "David Smith" but "David Jones" fills in instead. It's always filling in David Jones for David Smith, though. Once it does it, it consistently flips the same names.
Windows 7, thunderbird 24.6.0
Also, all of their addresses are in red, not in black in the "to" fields. As if it isn't recognizing them even though it auto filled them in.
Pretty sure this started happening after Windows did an update last week.
The only "fix" we've found is they have to keep typing the intended recipient's name until it autofills in the person they want, then it sticks.

After you get the multiple choices and click on one you want (e.g. David Smith), you need to press Enter to finish the selection. Are you doing that?
I'm not sure about the addresses in red. I get that too from time to time even though they are valid. I just ignore that.
I also have this problem, which appears to be new. When you start typing in a name, a list of possible addresses comes up, as it did previously. However, whichever name you select, the first name in the list of suggested names is selected. This process appears random though, somehow you can sometimes get the right address. It appears to be a change in the last upgrade, it was working fine before.

Yes. And it fills in a different name.
Are you sure it is Version 24. There is a version 31 bug that does exactly that but it does not affect V24. Perhaps those two are early adopters.
