Multiple copies or duplication of bookmarks or favicons keep appearing in the Bookmarks Toolbar. I have stopped snc and changed sync PW. I delete them but after closing Firefox and restarting Firefox web-browser, they appear again. Can you explain why this is happening and how to apply a solution.

As title says, whenever I'm scrolling through any website there's a lot of flickering, did some research and past "fixes" said to turn off smooth scrolling and hardware acceleration, which I tried but all it did was minimise the effects, this flickering has only been happening for the last day or so.

I reinstalled FF on 30 Apr 25 and it performed normally for a few days.

It is now 3 May 25 and we're back to where we started.

I started FF and I'm getting the tour screen on one tab, the privacy notice on another

All the tabs I pinned are just spinning their wheels

And all my extensions are gone.

Hi,

there are massive performance issues while playing videos on Youtube while using Firefox. This does not happen with the same video while using edge. The attached video shows the used memory and CPU of the youtube tab from the firefox process manager. This was taken after playing the video for 30s. Letting it run longer resulted in firefox taking up 20GB of RAM.

I think this happens since I installed 138.0 of firefox.

Could you please take a look.

Thanks.

Best regards

I've been using Firefox on my Windows tablet (Win10) for years. After I installed version 138.0, my On Screen Keyboard (OSK) keeps popping up. Very Annoying! The OSK pops up every time I change tabs, or click a control like a drop down menu or check box on a web page or in the Firefox UI. Seems like the Firefox developers may be working on this problem because in version 138.0 clicking on a text input box did NOT bring up the OSK, but in version 138.0.1 clicking on a text input box does bring up a the OSK, but clicking other controls and switching tabs still brings up the OSK. Other applications on my tablet only bring up the OSK when I click a text input field.

Under about:config I tried setting ui.osk.enabled = false. That does not help. Seems that another OSK preference was non-default, but I changed it back to default, not sure which one.

Help would be much appreciated.

Even though CPU and GPU utilization is very low during 8K60fps Youtube playback in the Firefox browser on my base M4 Mac mini, the struggles heavily to play this, drops tons of frames, and the video almost stops playing.

8K 30 fps is not problem, and since utilization is pretty low, that doesn't explain the poor performance.

So please optimize 8K60fps Youtube playback on all platforms in the safari browser, but especially on Apple SIlicon Macs.

I'm a webmaster looking after a few websites. I recently installed Firefox Developer to do my website work on, mostly so I could shut down regular FF when FB calls my name too persistently. haha

I discovered yesterday when working on a client's site that FF Dev and FF Regular render some CSS differently. I have CSS that will thicken a border line around an image when you hover over it. It's done using a combination of padding-width and border-width.

In FF Dev it's fine and in other browsers it's also fine (Edge, Chrome), but in FF Reg it jumps. I've tried fiddling with the CSS but if I get it so that it works in FF Reg, it's messed up and jumpy in FF Dev. So it seems the two FFs render CSS differently, which seems very odd. Wouldn't they use the same rendering engine?

Is there a way to get around this? It's really frustrating because most visitors will be using FF Reg if they use FF at all.

You can see the effect when you hover over the intro images in the Featured and Suggested Article sections on the Home page of my client's site.

Many thanks in advance for the help.
