I've made a related feature request to include an option to force Firefox to give the option to autofill any arbitrary field as a credit card, address, whatever. This is because 9 times out of 10, Firefox either fails to recognize a field and doesn't offer an autofill option, or something else is going on. If I was able to right click on an empty field and select, "Fill from credit cards," this would solve my problem.

I inspected some of these elements and see that they seem to contain the correct type of markup, with the proper autocomplete="cc-number" attribute. So why is Firefox not recognizing that field? Why is it not popping up an option to autofill?

tl;dr: there is no option to autofill even on correctly marked-up forms. Nothing pops up. My credit cards are stored correctly, I'm logged in as the correct user, the feature works on *some* checkout forms, just not most of them.

edit: I don't know how to delete this. turns out this is a known bug on firefox on linux. Firefox cannot actually save payment info, but doesn't serve an error to the user. however in the console it will throw a NS_ERROR_ABORT error: "User canceled OS unlock entry" error when it tries to save. the one solution i looked at seemed way too complicated for me so i am simply going to give up and try to keep my cc closer to me and not get frustrated when it doesn't work.

Autofill for forms is great. Until a recent update, it would fill in all of the information it had-name, address, phone, email-that a form wanted. Recently, it started filling in only a single item at a time, so I have two separate entries for name, 3 or 4 for address, another for phone, etc. Can I get back to the prior system?

The Address / Profile Autofill (full-form, 1-click filling) all of a sudden stopped working a few days ago. Only single-form works. I have to go to each box on a form individually and click on it to have the info fill in (Never had to do that before). And the "History" icon is showing to the left side of every info of mine that i click on to fill in (Never seen that before). Everything in the settings is still the same, nothing on my end has changed. It's set to automatically fill in my Name, Address, E-mail, Phone Number in 1-click, like it has THOUSANDS OF TIMES BEFORE. All my info is showing in settings, but not on any forms on any websites. The same websites i've been using all along, that filled in ALL my info with 1 click, all of a sudden went to single individual form last week. I asked AI what the problem could be. It gave me a few suggestions and fixes. Tried all of them, made no difference. All the settings it had me check were correct. HELP! (Thank you)

When there is a field to fill in my credit card info, the info will appear and let me select the CC I want to use but when I move away from the field the CC info goes away.

Whenever I shop online, when I start to input my credit card number at checkout, the last 4 digits of every credit card I've ever used comes up in Autofill. All I have to do is select one, then select its exp date, and it fills in the slots automatically. I find this very convenient, and I trust that it's secure as long as the site itself is. BUT by now, several of the cards that come up have either expired or are no longer in use. HOW DO I DELETE THEM FROM FIREFOX' AUTOFILL LIST? Please help--I've been unable to find the answer to this Q, though I've thoroughly searched. I'm losing patience. I don't want a lot of unused/expired cards on your Autofill. Thank you! I use Firefox for Linux on a Lenovo ideacentre desk top and on an Android mobile (Google Pixel). I live in the UK. I've saved my debit card details on both devices and autofill works perfectly on my phone but won't work on the PC. I've checked settings multiple times and everything seems to be properly set. I've just checked (via about:config) that my regions supports autofill and it does. When I try to use autofill, my card details appear in a box but when I click on the card number to fill the details, nothing happens! I've tried disabling the extensions I normally use on the desk top (Privacy Badger and ClearURLs) but that didn't resolve the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, lately when making a purchase the autofill feature for payment is not functioning properly for me. The account numbers appear for selection as normal, and the pop up window that asks for password or fingerprint ID, but it will not select and fill in the data. It doesn't matter whether I choose to use the fingerprint or type in the password. I hope you can help as this is most convenient. ;-) Many thanks

I am unable to view old payment methods in order to delete them. When I go to Settings, Passwords and Autofill, Payment Methods, Manage Payment Methods, I can only add new methods. The old methods do not show up, i.e. the list is blank. I have many old payment methods that I'd like to delete that show up in drop-down when I click in a credit card number field. saved payment method still work and autofill when a payment page is up but managing all saved payments within settings is impossible as the list is not populated - please see screenshot link text

I have card data saved for a number of cards in Firefox, and I am looking to clean that data up. However, when I go to Settings>Passwords and autofill>Payment methods>Manage payment methods no cards are showing up as saved. I also know that this is not Lastpass causing issues, as this card data is not saved in Lastpass. I have attached screenshots of both the manage payments page and the card data showing up for autofill selection on a webpage add payment method screen.

I have five old expired CC's that pop up every time for auto fill. However, when I follow the link, to Manage Payment Methods. It is completely empty. There's nothing to manage. How do I delete all the old stuff when there's nothing were it should be? Please see attached.
