hello TennesseeCarl, try this in order to get the most visited bookmarks back: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.places.smartBookmarksVersion - right-click and reset that entry to the default value. afterwards a restart of the browser is necessary for the change to take effect...
