www.dallastown.net school web site no longer loading images/info correctly. Works ok with IE.

Can maneuver around some by right clicking and opening in new tab. "Select a School" drop down is a specific problem area. Some times numerous clicks of the mouse will open the page properly. Still run in to problems with no response from a click or missing info.

A number of updates occurred recently, not sure where problem is. I currently have Java disabled, but tried with it enabled and no help. Uninstalled & reinstalled FireFox (18), no help. Thinking maybe a problem with FF 18 and Adobe Flash, but not sure what to do.

I appreciate any help you may offer.

Problem has been solved, web site now works properly. Suspect update from FF 18.0.0 to 18.0.1 or something done on website fixed the problem

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Cleared Cookies & Cache, still no help. Sometimes that site will need multiple clicks for a link to "take", other times opening a link in a new window helps, but something definitely changed and I suspect Flash. I had removed Flash & Java when I removed FF 18 and reinstalled them, but I had forgotten to reinstall Flash for IE. When I tried IE without it's Flash installed, the web page had problems that looked similar to the FF problem.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)

Tried Safe Mode and cleared all cookies & cache again, no help. I wasn't sure if there was some indicator showing I was in Safe Mode. I looked at add-ons while in safe mode and I didn't see any changes to them. Has anyone tried the website I posted and experienced similar problems? The school images do not come up and just get a mostly blue screen without the menu selections. Also, select a school usually doesn't work until multiple attempts as noted.

Tried power off/on on router again, no help. Looked over some of the links provided, lots of info to try! Was wondering if anyone has tried the web site listed in first post, that I'm having trouble with.
