After upgrading Firefox all the icons of all my bookmarks disappear.
After upgrading next version of Firefox all my bookmarks have lost their icons. To restore an icon I have to click on that bookmark and load a web pade again. That brings back an icon. But I have so many icons that I can't just go through all of them. I appriciate any help on this matter. My regards, Alexei Kouznetsov

Did you try to restore the favicons with the CheckPlaces extension?

Hi alexeiuk,
There was an issue with Firefox 9 that caused this type of behavior. It has been fixed in Firefox 10 though. You might want to try the Firefox 9 version of this article to see if the steps work for you.
You could also try an add-on to customize your favicons:

Cor-el offers some useful tips as well:
A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Dear Matt_G, I use Firefox v.11 And the described above issue still persists. Thank you. Alexei

Hi there! Matt, thank you very much first of all - your advice was right on the money and it did help me out! But unfortunately just about 2 days ago I came across some other serious problem - now I can't add no page to my bookmarks (( When I click to make a new bookmark nothing happens. Same thing if I press hot key Ctrl +D If I open new page and try to drag this with my mouse to the required location among my other bookmark panel and leave it there – all what happens that the tiny blue line stays there just between adjacent bookmarks and that it. When I tried open the penal of all the bookmarks I have and add a new page through that side – as soon as I pressed “add a new bookmark” some lonely single blue bar popped up with no further option in it – just by itself and the only action I could take – just to close it by clicking on – that was the only option on it. I raked my brain over this stuff but I guess I’m clearly not that savvy with that and I want to seek a help from you again) I hope you will not deny. Thank you in advance. Alexei. P.S. Just to make sure I disconnected my notebook from Internet and run my antivirus program. No virus has been found! )) Then I restarted Windows in vague hope that the problem would vanish by itself so to speak - I was so naive) Looks like for some reason the problem felt in love with me and does not want to go away ((
