I am missing the 'Download Popup', 'Home', and 'Website address window' buttons.
The functions button for these three items (Download Popup Downward Arrow, Home Icon located on the righthand side of screen, and the Webside address window where you can type in the webside address or URL or IP-address) just disappeared. How can I get them back? I am running Release 9.0.1 and the only recent update I installed involved google opt-out policy for collecting information. I resolved the problems by following AliceWyman's suggestion. I restarted in Firefox Safe Mode and reset toolbars & controls.bold text

Not sure how these items disappeared but see Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars and What happened to the Status Bar? for solutions.

Your suggestion to read 'How do I customize the toolbars' got me on the right track. I restored the missing buttons by Resetting toolbars and controls in 'Firefox Safe Mode' Thanks for your help
I'm glad that my link to Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars (which links to the Changes to toolbars and window sizes are not saved article) got you on the right track and that you were able to fix the problem using the "Reset toolbars and controls" option in 'Firefox Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode'. I'll mark this as the solution.
Alice Wyman suggested the right search path to follow. I read "How do I customize the toolbars" and was able to reset my settings which retrieved the lost buttons. After which I added the toolbars which I was previously useing.
