I had to do a system re-install I saved my bookmarks how do I re install those? it says its JSON file

I had a Malware issue and had to do a complete wipe out and system reinstall. I saved my bookmarks on a peripheral hard drive . I cant seem to figure out how to reinstall them as Firefox will only let me import from Internet explorer which no longer has my bookmarks or favorites. the file that I have saved has a JSON extension

To restore bookmarks from a JSON file, follow the procedure in the Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer article.
