I cannot access the internet unless my new canon wifi printer is switched on. This applies to all 3 pc's where I have loaded the canon software. Is this a Firefox software problem or a canon one? I normally only switch on the printer when I know I will need it - to save the ink it wastes on start up.

Hello Maunder.

If this behavior applies to all internet connecting software (like browsers, updaters, downloaders, IM clients, email clients, etc.), then it's either a problem with the printer's software or with Windows 7. In any case, it's definitely not Firefox's. If it's only Firefox that's having problems, please say so, and we'll look at it.

Try to reset the print prefs on the about:config page.
