Hi Alberto, you could try the “Firefox Proton” theme, which Mozilla is featuring in the Add-ons Manager for people who prefer the previous look. Open Add-ons and themes from the menu and look for it.

You can also adjust the colours with other themes, and try Compact density under Settings → Appearance if the tabs and toolbar feel too large.

I’d start with the Proton theme and see how close it gets to what you liked. It’s a theme rather than a full rollback, so some details may still look different.

I really dislike it too. The colors are distracting, and all those bubble tabs are just BAD. I know every design update will be a challenge for habits, and people use to complain about that changes. But c'mon, this is just unusable. Why they do this? Moving to Zen Browser until the hability of revert this failure.

Thank you for the help! I picked proton as theme, that fixed the coloring, but the round tabs and buttons were still there.

I searched further and setting "browser.nova.enabled" to false in the about:config page reverted everything. Not sure for how long this will fix it, but for now it's fixed :)

I'm also having same problem with dreadful fading - I thought something was wrong with my computer ! I was also trying to get rid of the bubble round ended pill type tabs.

Thanks for posting about setting "browser.nova.enabled" to false. Why the developers think it would be so logical to sort out a default theme not in the Customise themes is beyond reasoning.

It's not exactly user friendly to not provide a default theme that removes the fading themes. Or perhaps it's lurking and I did not find it.
