Firefox keeps that in the Firefox profile folder, not in the Applications folder. On macOS the usual path is ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/your-profile/ . Passwords are mainly in logins.json plus key4.db, and history/bookmarks are in places.sqlite. You can open about:profiles in Firefox and use Show in Finder for the active profile. Make a copy of the whole profile folder before changing anything.
