There's an update this week: https://www.firefox.com/en-US/firefox/150.0.1/releasenotes/ that should help — would you be able to confirm v150.0.1 resolves the issue for you? Thanks!

(Also, for those tweaking internal security settings, don't forget to reset that back after updating, for your own protection.)

I also started having this problem on 4/21/2026. All other sites load normally, and Facebook loads normally in Microsoft Edge. I'm on v150. What I've tried:

  • Troubleshooting Mode
  • Turning off Enhanced Tracking
  • Disabling hardware acceleration
  • Deleting all cookies/site data/history
  • Disabling DNS prefetch
  • Disabling IP6

Nothing has worked.

Hi both, I have reported your issue to the webcompatability team. You can see the report here: https://webcompat.com/issues/217280 Thank you for reporting, will follow up once we have a reply.

After consulting AI, I found a hack that seems to be working. Open about:config, search for security.tls.version.max and change it from 4 to 3. So far, that seems to be working for me. I have no idea what this setting does or how it relates to Facebook, other it has something to do with Facebook's TLS negotiation. Still seems like something should be done about this on the Firefox side so this hack isn't required.

Taking the 4 / 3 measure it will only load to the log in page.... Hangs up there... Same setup... Win 11 Pc.....

Hi,

This issue should be resolved with the next Firefox update. Meanwhile, disabling BitDefender or turning off its traffic filtering features may help.

For reference, see bug 2034178.

Disabling virus protection is not acceptable. I'll wait on the real fix.

I had this problem on just Firefox and I cleared all my caches which didn't help. However yesterday I was able to log into Facebook but of course had to enter alll my details due to having cleared the cache and it worked OK. I have today restarted FF and picked up the latest version - was on v150 previously - and Facebook is still working - so maybe they changed something as well...?
